34 years ago today, March 9, 1976, Susan and Gary McConnell gave birth to their 2nd daughter at the Davis County hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa.
I'm pretty sure they had no clue THEN what life would be like 34 years later.
And I'm pretty sure there were times in the past 34 years they wondered......What were we thinking, Who's kid is this?
When they say, children are a work in progress, It's True.
I STILL AM.
So today, to celebrate my 34 years of life on earth I'm going to do a 34 things about me run down.
1. My dad named me. He delivered packages to a lady in Pulaski, Iowa who's name was Libby.
2. Mom wanted my name to be Abby.
3. I lived in Bloomfield, Iowa until I was 11 years old. We lived in the country across the gravel road from my great-grandparents (Ross and Opal) and down the road from my grandparents (Martha and Harold).
4. I graduated from High School in 1995 from Ft. Madsion Senior High.
5. I gave birth to my first baby in 1998, at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital at the age of 22.
6. I have ONE VERY BEST FRIEND in the whole-wide world, my sister Amy.
7. I went to college and graduated in 1999.
8. My nickname while growing up was Tib/Lib.
9. I have had the Libby, Libby, Libby on the Label, Label, Label song sang to me well over a million times.
10. I am currently living the life I always dreamed about.
11. I married Brandon Wood in 2006 at our home in La Plata. (YES, I was pregnant with our first child).
12. Kohyn Dovie joined our family September 3, 2006.
13. Kooper Jane joined shortly after on March 17, 2008.
14. I LOVE mornings when everyone in our house is still sleeping but me!
15. My favorite singer is, Steven Curtis Chapman.
16. I detassled corn while in High School for a summer job...and I HATED it.
17. Someday I WILL go on a missions trip.
18. My husband can make me laugh when I am on the verge of tears.
19. I LOVE to drink Coffee with LOTS of cream and sugar.
20. I rode RAGBRAI (a one week bike ride across the state of Iowa) in 2004.
21. ONE of my favorite bible verses is : The Lord's never ends; his mercies never stop. They are new every morning....Lamentations 3:22-23
22. I still keep a hand written diary.
23. I have The Best Job Ever.
24. One of my best buddies in college was named Libby.
25. I have some of the best conversations with the Lord while tending to my garden.
26. We live on Pine street and have a HUGE Pine tree in our front yard.
27. I can still repeat all of the helping verbs that I learned in the 7th grade. Want to hear them? Ask me later.
28. I LOVE to blog.
29. TV is very unimportant to me.
30. I often wonder what it will be like to get old?
31. So thankful that God forgives me for my sins.
32. I could eat a whole bag of chips without even thinking about it and then polish off a bag of M&M's for something sweet.
33. Their is something about the word S-I-M-P-L-E I love.
34. I was the 1994 Lee County Fair Queen. (and I've nearly rolled on the floor laughing after I typed that)

Happy Birthday! Did you learn a song with the helping verbs? I know one. I remember playing kick the can in Ft. Madison with the kids in your neighborhood. I also remember coming to see Cam for the first time and thinking... oh my, Libs a mom now????? Hope you have a great day! We sure enjoy you so close, it's getting warmer!
