You might be asking WHY I have decided to share this with YOU? With ALOT of thought, I have decided to go ahead, take the plunge, put my worries behind me, and know that HE is being glorified (and that I need to worry LESS about what others think).

SO HERE GOES!

A few years back, Camrie wanted her very own pen pal, someone to write to the "old fashion" way. So I set out to find her someone. While searching the internet I found an organziation called Compassion International http://www.compassion.com/ and for a very small fee each month you could "adopt" a child "in need" and in turn they would become your "pen pal". So for Christmas 2008 Cam got a present with stationary and a framed picture of a girl just her age. She was THRILLED when she opened the gift, in fact she wanted to know, "How soon we could write her a letter." Since then, we have continued to support our darling little girl, through letters, small gifts, and a monthly donation. It truly is that
S-I-M-P-L-E.

So today, I found this WONDERFUL, blog link for YOU! Check it out! Their are children all over the world waiting for you to sponsor them. Without a doubt Compassion International, http://www.compassion.com/ is the REAL DEAL. I did hours and hours of research before we dove in. Compassion has been around since 1952, it is a Christ-centered, Child-focused organization, that does AMAZING thing for MILLIONS of children each and every day.

Did you know that there are more than 2,000 references in the Bible to children and poverty? That is a BIG portion of God's word dedicated to these two topics. Obvisously, these things are very close to God's Heart.
