I believe my time hitting the pavement is FINALLY paying off.
I found these shorts in my closet today that I wore last summer.
I started my Journey January 8th, and I am ever so thankful for the day I stood in the Old Navy dressing room and looked in the mirror and decided I was losing control!
Next Goal a 10K!
Go You!!!! I think you look great and way to keep it up!! Hopefully we will see you at the fair!

Hi! wow! You are amazing. What an awesome photo. I found your blog though Lori Bish(not even sure how you two are connected) but I found your post about the couch to 5k inspiring and you, without even knowing me, encouraged me to do it!! I will finish my tenth week of training tomorrow and run my first 5k on Saturday!! Thank you and keep it up and keep moving. You look amazing! Courtney Wagler
ReplyDeletePs....I had one of those moments as well, I saw a picture of myself and thought, something has to change!!
Courtney - What a very nice message you left! I am dying to know, how did your first 5K go? I actually thought of you on Saturday.
DeleteJust so you know the connection with Lori Bish and I, we are first cousins :)
Keep up the good work! Never in my wildest dreams would I have believed a year ago that I would have become a runner....but now I am hooked! Glad I shared my story and you got inspired!
Take Care - Libby

DeleteYes! Lori texted me how you two were connected...so nice that you all can keep up on each other via blogs :)
The race went AWESOME! I was so nervous to get started. Once the race started, I just kept running!! My goal was under 30 and I got it!!! 29 minutes and 44 seconds!! It is SO much easier to run with people all around you and the change in scenery (beautiful downtown Des Moines and running in front of the State Capitol, pretty awesome)!! I just kept smiling (and honestly trying not to cry) because I was so excited that I was actually doing it!!
I agree, I never thought of myself as a runner and today I am thinking about signing up for a 10K on July 28th...might be crazy but at least it is a healthy thing to be crazy for :)
Thanks again and keep posting!!
Courtney
PS---my blog is...
www.babywagler.blogspot.com Check it out! It is just way too many pictures of my children :) but they are cute...I promise!
It looks like you lost half of yourself! Way to go Lib...your touching lives. And, showing those girls being fit/healthy choices are key...not starving yourself to be skinny. Run On!!!!!!
