With the Lenten season upon us, I decided to pass on giving just ONE thing up this year.
Last year, it was Soda.....and I made it through.......ALL 40 DAYS!
But this year I wanted something MORE.
I went searching and found this.....
"Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep praying. When God's people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hopsitality." - Romans 12:9-13
After reading this it hit me like a ton of bricks!
This is my FOCUS for Lent.
This verse silently whispered my name when I read it!
And the bold words YELLED at me!
It won't be long and we will be celebrating the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior!
The time when HE paid the price for ALL of our sins!
This is an amazing blog!! How we all want to think about material things as we give up or receive and you reached the real point of it all!
