Dance Like No One is Watching

The Wood Gang is excited for a fun filled weekend.
Labor Day weekend is celebrated BIG in La Plata, with the annual Soybean Festival.
Unlike last year, and the year before that, and the year before that....I have down scaled my involvment.
This year we plan to take in all of the activites, enjoy the parade, and eat till our guts are full.
Sounds like a weekend of fun to me.

On another note.

I would like to request special thoughts and prayers for a dear family friend and sister to my aunt that went to be with the Lord at the VERY young age of 38 Tuesday night. With no warning she fell over with no suffering to a massive heart attack. We will celebrate her life here on earth Saturday afternoon.
It will be a VERY emotional day for her family (husband, and 2 young girls) and her dear friends.

The news above has grounded me this week.
It has reminded me that we are just passing through this place called earth, and that eternity is FOREVER!
NOTHING is promised passed this moment.

We MUST dance like no one is watching,
love like you will never be hurt,
and sing like no one is listening.
Try doing all 3 this weekend (I will).

Busy with 3 girls and loving it.

  2. Hi, I know you don't know me, but I did a google search for La Plata soybean festival and I found your blog. We went to the festival last year and had a blast and would like to go again this year but I don't know any details about it. We live in Kirksville. Could you email me at parkinspress@yahoo.com and let me know what time the activities start? I know last year they had a donut eating contest and parade - what time should we be there? Thank you!
