The 3 monsters and I will be holding down the ranch this weekend ALONE. Brandon is heading out today for weekend hunting "get-a-way". You would have thought he was headed to DisneyLand. I know the girls will miss him and so will I but you gotta let a man do what he loves, spending the weekend in the woods with his buddies with no running water or eletricity, eating, drinking, telling stories, and eating, drinking, and telling more stories.
And just when I was trying to get myself mad about it this morning (thinking that I may be CRAZY by the time Sunday night rolls around) I reminded myself about a conversation we had shortly after we got together. It went something like this:
Brandon: Now Libby I think you deserve to know that I LOVE HUNTING, and there are 2 times a year that I LOVE HUNTING more then anything....it's Spring turkey season and Fall Deer season. I'm not willing to give either up for anything!!!!
Libby: GREAT, glad to know it honey. I'll be sure to never get pregnant or plan anything during those 2 times a year.
Now, the problem is he didn't tell me that the season went on for MONTHS and MONTHS and MONTHS and when your not hunting your getting ready to hunt, practicing, building, planning, planting, buying etc.
So this morning....I kissed my hunting husband good bye, told him good luck and reminded myself that I was game for this from the beginning!!!!
So what are the monsters and I up to this weekend?
We are heading out to the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow with our friends the Bealmer's. Sunday after church we plan to do some yard work and in between we will be cleaning, packing away summer clothes and getting ready for next weekend. We have LOTS going on next weekend; My sister is coming to visit, The Bealmers have their Lord Acres Sale at church on Saturday, we have the community Halloween Party and the MOST EXCITING thing is Camrie's getting baptized!!!!! WOW....LOTS!!!
I'm looking forward to the weekend with the girls. We will have fun! And we hope most of all Daddy brings home a BIG Buck!
Enjoy the weekend and the beautiful Fall weather.
I always think of this bible verse this time of year:
To everything there is a season,a time for every purpose under the sun.A time to be born and a time to die;a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;a time to kill and a time to heal ...a time to weep and a time to laugh;a time to mourn and a time to dance ...a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;a time to lose and a time to seek;a time to rend and a time to sew;a time to keep silent and a time to speak;a time to love and a time to hate;a time for war and a time for peace.
ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Busy with 3 girls and loving it!!
