Husband & Wife

I'm sure you can tell by now that when work gets busy the blog goes on hold. And if this year is anything like last year from now until Christmas this place is WILD. But the craziness pays off when the holiday season rolls around and the college closes for 2 weeks! Not that I'm trying to rush time....but gosh it's nice to have that to look forward too.

Our weekend was awesome! Saturday we spent the day in Columbia. Brandon needed some last minute hunting items....Deer Season opens on Monday the 15th! I'm so excited I can hardly wait! (not really....I could honestly careless, but you know how it is when your married, you try to act excited for the other one).
Actually, it is kind of exciting for me now that I think about it. Since he will be gone for hours on end sitting in a deer stand, I've decided to do some redecorating. I can hardly wait! I'm giving our family room a face lift...painting the fireplace, and book shelves, getting new curtains and slip cover for the sofa and painting the "new" cabinet I bought at a summer auction (see previous blog for details). The fireplace alone is going to be AWESOME. I promise to post before and after pictures!

Yesterday was beautiful. Kooper and I went to church and daddy and Kohyn stayed at home. We enjoyed an afternoon of family time. It was SO needed! (Even though Cam wasn't there...she was having fun at her dad's house).
We did enjoy a surprise visit from the Bealmer Crew! They were out and about after church and decided to stop by! I have to tell you it made my day! I just can't get enough of seeing Remingtyn....maybe because everytime I see her I see a prayer of mine answered!
HE IS SO GOOD!
For the faithful prayer warriors, prayers for this week are:
-Continued improvement
-100% recovery
-Patience for Tyena & Wade
-Remingtyn's postive attitude as she is beginning to notice she should be able to do some things that she's not able to do yet!
-Family seperation

Praises Are:
-Quick Recovery (Remingtyn is WAY ahead of the game)
-They were able to all be together as a family at home this weekend.
-Faith
-Her willingness to try anything.

Wish me luck with the home improvment project! And if anyone has any painting brick secrets PLEASE share. I'm not about to let my husband know I'm a little nervous.....since he is 100% against me painting it in the first place.....I kindly told him to go play Daniel Boone and I'll stay at home and play Martha Stuwart....the end result both of us HAPPY!

Busy with 3 little girls and loving it!

  1. Be sure to ask the guys at Menards or where ever it is you go for paint as there may be a special primer that you need for painting brick / masonary....and please do not tell me you get it at Wal-Mart!!!

  2. Libby,
I just peeked at your blog page... what a super mom you are! Your thoughts are very heart warming. You have really evolved in life and are a beautiful person. I love your "33 things about me" -- Grease is also my favorite movie. Wishing you the best! Heather

  3. Well, I don't have any secrets but my parents painted their fireplace and it was a wonderful facelift! Good luck!! I can't wait to see the end results.
