HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grandma Penny!!!! We are so excited to go help you celebrate tonight!
Camrie is still going strong! Loving 4th grade! She had so much to share Monday night when she got home, it was so exciting. As she put it, "Things are alot different in the 4th grade, they treat us like grown-ups". However, I see somewhat of a lost look in her eye without her Best Buddy Remingtyn there. Said she was sad to see Remi's desk empty (really broke my heart). I assure her that in no time Remingtyn will be back in action.
As for Remingtyn, here is the latest!
She is coming home for the Labor Day weekend! and we are SSSSOOOO excited!!! Just having her back on Bulldog ground will be so great. She wants to be in the Labor Day parade on Monday with a float that expresses her THANKS to everyone along with her favorite bible verse, "With God All Things Are Possible" (so thoughtful). So Camrie and I are getting to work.....we are starting the float this weekend and they will help finish it up next weekend before the parade on Monday. Not sure who is more excited, Camrie or Remingtyn (or the moms)! Stay tuned for pictures.
On another note. Remingtyn will be heading back to KC after Labor Day for 8-10 more weeks of thearpy. Really a small amount of time in the grand scheme of things. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE continue to pray for our friend and for the following:
-100% recovery
-Tyena and Wade. As it's hard being a part from one another.
-Neurons connecting.
-Daily thearpy.
Many of you have asked about the laundry soap! It's GRAND!!! and even better, my husband hasn't noticed! I know some of you are having problems finding Washing Soda, go on-line at Amazon.com and you can purchase it there.
I've also, started using homemade dish washing detergent. All you do is take equal parts of Washing Soda and Borax, it works wonderfully!
Lastly, I have LOTS of egg plant (lots and lots and lots) .... anyone have a GREAT recipe that you're willing to share? Never have I cooked one, let alone grown one!
Loving the weather, my husband, my kids, my friends, and my job!!!
Busy with 3 little girls and loving it!
stay tuned for birthday pictures!
Is there any liquid in the dishsoap or just washing sode and Borax?

PS - Happy Birthday, Penny!
Egg Plant Parmasan, YUMMO! Slice the pealed egg plant, dip into egg, bread crumbs, and milk wash either bake it or fry it, put a piece of sliced mozzarella cheese on top. Serve over pasta noodles, and pasta sauce. YUMMY! You can also put it in Lasagna. It's a wonderfully odd vegetable but so good! ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favorites when I go to NYC!!!! Peeled and sliced thin same egg and bread or cracker crumb coating and fried then in a sandwich or with out the bun / bread is great also (kinda like a tenderloin but more healthy - except for the fried part - but hey it's still a vegtable so it's good for you any way right???
