Wet, Wet, Wet

Oh My Gosh have we gotten the rain! I seriously think you could go boating in about any ditch you would like. I am soooo hoping for a nice, dry, warm weekend. Kohyn is dying to ride TAR (Star, the pony). Last night we had to drive out to Grandma's and PaPa's to tell Tar Hi and the first thing she said when she saw him was, "Tar Wet"! Yes Kohyn, Tar is VERY wet, poor little pony.

OK - does ANYONE read my blog?????? I know I have 2 faithful readers, my in-laws, Jerry and Penny. But does ANYONE else read it???? If you do would you mind leaving a note now and then just so I know I'm not rambling on to NO ONE (Penny and Jerry I don't mean your NO ONE). But come on, if you do read it I know you love to open the page and see a new posting and I feel the same way about comments!

Weekend Plans! Brandon has tryed his best to talk me into going to Kansas City to Cabela's....Not Interested! Why would I load 2 kids under the age of 2 up for 6 hours in the car? It would be more torture then one person is allowed in one day.
We do have the Farmers Market tomorrow morning in the city park, 7:00-11:00. If your in the area stop by, HOPEFULLY, their will be some vendors there and HOPEFULLY, their will be some people shopping? It's the first time in years that La Plata has had a Farmers Market (kinda nervous).

Again, please continue to pray for those folks cleaning up from the floods in Iowa and Missouri. Such a nasty mess that river leaves behind and so sad that it's in so many peoples homes.

The sun is trying to shine out there, hopfully it's getting warmed up for the weekend?

Busy with 3 little girls and loving it!

  3. Libby,

I am a faithful reader (daily) and love hearing about your family and small town life in La Plata. You have a great family and I enjoy reading about them and seeing pictures. If I were closer I would be at the Market if for no other reason than to support you. Okay, for the homegrown produce too.

Normally I don't comment because I don't know what to say. I will, however, say I have always played Uno in that if you can't play you draw one card and if you can't play off it, then it goes to the next person. It's been a while since I've played but I think that's the way. It doesn't really much matter. THe more important thing is the time spent together and the memories made. From your blog I know that you are making wonderful memories with your family.

Wish I were closer, but know it's a relatively short drive and may just show up some Saturday morning for the Market so keep those fruits and veggies growing.

  4. Libby,
Like Margie, I read your blog at least every other day, I love it!You are a very good "author". You are truly blessed with a wonderful family and life and I can't believe your job -- Mondays off! Three day weekends !!
Hope you have checked out the Hawkeye web site for local flood pics. 2 good friends of ours lost their home in Gulfport. The water there is absolutely unbelieveable. The bridge to Illinois is still closed.
Well, I'm off to the grocery store.
Hope the Farmers Market went well.

  5. P.S.
When we play UNO you keep drawing cards until you can play. Sometimes you can't hold all the cards!
