After hauling green beans to grandma's house the past several summers....I finally decided it was time to do it myself. So yesterday I tackled the pressure cooker....and I was a nervous wreck!
End Result = nothing blew up and they turned out PREFECT!!

The Wood Gang worked hard this weekend...preparing for the winter ahead!
20 quarts of freezer corn (= 10 dozen ears worked up by the hands of my beloved children)
15 quarts of green beans pressure cooked (= the beans hand picked by my beloved children out of our garden)
and
Salsa (tomatoes and jalapeno's picked by my beloved children out of garden)
So I've come to conclude having LOTS of children does pay off!
Come this winter when we open the corn and green beans and eat the salsa they can proudly know where it was grown and who's hands were used to prepare it!
Feeling Accomplished!
good for you Libby! To this day I have not tried a pressure cooker because of that same fear!!
