I believe I have been "blessed" with the gene of not worrying about failure. I dive into a project with the hope that it works!
So once again, I am trying my hand at a new attempt to garden.
Pallet Gardening
DIY Instructions
Picture #1
We laid a thick layer of straw down (for weed control) then put the pallets on top (the pallets were given to us from the local coop). Thanks to my dear husband for ripping out boards between the pallets to allow more space for planting.
Picture #2
We then filled the pallets with dirt and began planting.
The pallet on the left holds; acorn squash at the top, and the rest (that looks like dirt) has green beans planted in them. The pallet on the right holds; cabbage, peppers, tomotoes, zucchini and cucumbers.
(Watermelon and cantaloupe are planted directly in the ground due to lack of pallet space)
As our experiment unfolds I will keep you posted on its failure/success status!
HAPPY GARDENING to those that are putting veggies in the ground this year!
Thanks so much for the update - I've been wondering. The momma Utt garden is at the best I've had! Now, if it just gives us produce! Had lots of radishes, lettuce, ect. Picking just a few strawberries. You must get by to see garden shed, love it!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to hearing how this goes. It sounds like something I might be able to do in my small yard. Fresh veggies - YUM!
