Accident 101

With a house full of kids accidents are going to happen.
I don't care what anyone says, Boys or Girls, they will happen either way.

Last night, we made our first trip to the ER.
What was truly an accident ended in a dislocated tendon in Miss. Kohyn Dovie's elbow.
Nursemaid's Elbow was the diagnosis.

I tried my hardest to "down play" it and chalk the crying and DRAMA up to being tired, hot, and not getting her way. However, after a full hour of tears and no arm movement we decided it was time we do something different.

So off to the ER we went.

I am relieved and happy to report that the elbow is fine.
The doctor worked some Magic and put everything back in the right place.

To think it's only April.........wonder what this summer has in store for us?

  1. Good luck! You have to trust you gut sometimes. Being safe is better than sorry, go ahead and take the ER plunge! Love Aunt Sue

  2. Kids will be kids. I was counting my lucky stars with our lack of ER trips when suddenly we made 3 trips to the ER with 3 different boys. It happened such that we spent Valentines Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day of 2009 at the hospital. Glad Kohyn is back at it:)
