Reality

Hello, You there?

Anyone?

Anyone?

This mom is trying to adjust to several changes at the moment.
Please be patient with me, I haven't forgotten about you.

The BIGGEST adjustment, I'm sure with little surprise is the new puppy/baby KC. Just when I get all my kids sleeping through the night and I think it's smooooooth sailing, we get a dog and I see/feel my life back tracking.
I'm feeling like this circle may never end.
HELP ME SOMEONE!

Of course, we (like you, I'm sure) are braving the very cold weather.
I've questioned my chicken farming ALOT the last few days. Seriously, I can't imagine being a farmer during tempatures like this.....4 chickens and frozen eggs and water are about more then I can (want to) handle.

Our 2 week Winter Break at home was AWESOME.
We had a TON of fun.
But of course, all good things must come to an end.
Reality has set in, and I'm trying my hardest to get back into the old routine, even though I'm struggling.

Bear with me blog friends, I hope to be back to my regular blogging soon.

  1. Hang in there Lib, January will come to an end and if you have a garage it is a great place for the puppy to sleep at night. Heat pad on low and it will be great. Kathy H

  2. You will get out of that circle of not sleeping when your family is gone and all that is left is you and Brandon. Until he brings another puppy home! I think a nice warm place outside works wonders. Love Aunt Sue

  3. SERIOUSLY CHICKEN LITTLE....the sky is not falling......
go to the farm supply store and get a heated water dish and you won't have to worry about frozen water (our girls and boys love it) you can still use the frozen eggs - just keep them in a separate bowl in the fridge...still ok for baking and scramble just not fried
I'll have to think on the puppy and comment later on that ; )
Pull up your skirt and keep going dearie!!

  4. Paul wonders the same thing. It's brutal trying to feed, thaw out frozen waterers that werent' suppose to freeze. But our 4 legged friends need water and food.

  5. The best thing for a puppy is to make sure you have a kennel/crate for him to sleep in at night and during the day while you are gone. It also helps to potty train!
    Good luck!
