Crisis

We nearly had a crisis at our house last night.

As you know, I adore the BABY of the family, (don't get me wrong, I adore my other two also) but the BABY is my last and I am trying my hardest to keep her a BABY.

Unfortuately, some of me BABYing her has resulted in her still packing around her pacifier.
(PLEASE, don't throw your two sense in about it, I know she is almost 2, and I know she needs to ditch it).

ANYWHO.

Last night as bedtime rolled around and our nightly routine got into full play, I noticed their was no BB (that's what Koop calls it).

Prefect, I thought.
Tonight will be the night we break the habit!

The girls crawled into bed, we read our book, gave kisses, and shut off the light.

And then she realized BB wasn't with her.
BB? BB? BB? BB? on and on and on.

After telling her it was gone, and then searching the entire house (under the bed, in the toy box, all pockets of all coats, and texting the neighbor). We had NO BB at our house.

By then Koop wasn't having it.....she continued on, BB? BB? BB? BB?

We called off the search at home and sent daddy to the babysitters where ONE BB was waiting.

When BB arrived home, we had one happy baby.

Guess what Koop's getting a stocking full of this year?

  4. I was the same way about keeping the baby of the Family a " Baby ". I always wanted a pacifier Baby and it took me 4 kids to get one. I (we) love our pacifier. My Daughter Jade had it until she was almost 4 years, I did not mind what other people thought. One day she just gave it up and I was kinda of sad about it because now she was going to be a big girl but alls well and we enjoyed EVERY minute of our pacifier (gonk) as she called it
