Seasons

It is my favorite Season.
I love to see the leaves turning colors, the farmers working in the fields, the weather turning cooler, and knowing that Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
However, I am struggling.
Struggling to keep it ALL together.
I'm sure it's just the "normal" things to most....the kids going in the right direction, the housework, laundry, meals to feed my family, sick friends, money, unfinished projects, etc.
I try so hard to lean not on my own understanding.
(Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, Proverbs 3:5)
I wonder why is it so hard to realize that we can't, "do it all", "solve all of the problems", or "make everyone happy".
So today, I ground myself.
Tape my favorite saying to my computer where it is easily seen, know I am NOT in control, Trust in the Lord, and be Thankful.....for I have so much to be Thankful for.
I love this Bible verse and it seems to be so fitting.
Truly, HE has a season for everything. I know. It is my season to struggle. My season will change. I know.
To Every Thing There is a Season - Ecclesiastes
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

  1. This is a lot longer version of Ecclesiastes - to everything there is a season then I usually see. You do a great job of keeping it all together. Of course, it doesn't hurt the whole household to pitch in and help. Just remember to enjoy life and each other. Love, Aunt Sue
