Dang It.

I have been watching the watermelon below grow in my garden ALL summer. I planted one watermelon vine and it produced one watermelon. I was VERY proud to show it to friends and family that came to visit and couldn't wait for the day to eat my PrIdE and JoY.

So this morning, I decided I would pick it. It appeared to be ready on the outside (whatever that appearence might be?).

I carried it to the house, sat it in the sink, dug for my BIG knife, and................

DANG IT.

As you can see, it's not quite ready for eating.

DANG IT, DANG IT, DANG IT.

Along with the unripened watermelon I picked a whole bowl full of these.

My tomatoe crop has done extremely well this summer.

My eight plants have produced enough tomatoes for, 15 pints of salsa and 15 quarts of tomatoes juice.
