Aside from our very WONDERFUL weekend away, we learned that The Real World , was still moving outside the zoo walls. We arrived home to some not so wonderful news.
Brandon's Grandma, Great Grandma Phyillis, took a tumble at the golf course Saturday morning. The tumble ended her in the operating room at the Hannibal hospital getting plates and screws in her left ankle. She is now resting at the Wood Family nursing home for 10 days, home of Jerry and Penny. Although we are sad to see Grandma down and out we have enjoyed going to see her daily. Kohyn is taking full advantage of someone to read to her whenever she commands.
The other bit of news is from my home town, Bloomfield, Iowa. Sunday night the small community and countryside was hit by a terrible hail storm. Many of my family members had lots of damage; windows broke out, siding destroyed, gardens flattened, etc. We are so thankful that no one was hurt.
So here is what we were doing while all of this was happening out in The Real World.
We were taking pictures of elephants butts.
