I have been trying to think since Saturday night how I was going to tell you about my trip. I even went as far as to ask a few of the women how they would describe the experience in a few short sentences. Honestly, nothing that was told to me really stuck. So that lead me to think even more. And finally today, it hit me. No 2 ladies had the same experience and no one had my thoughts.
OK, with that being said. I want to first let everyone know my kids did fine. Of course, I have some funny stories that I want to share with you, but I'm going to keep those for another day. Because today friends, I have MY story to tell you.
A story about my first BIG girl weekend away!
I chose these words to sum up the whole weekend.
LIFE CHANGING!
From Friday morning till Saturday night I did a whole lot of these two things:
Laughed till my stomach hurt and Cried like a new born baby.
It was simply WONDERFUL.
Here is a picture of all 23 of us.
And mark my words, next year you will see double this amout of people.
Beware! I have a list started of everyone I am taking with me in 2010.
You take the good you take the bad you take them both and their you have the Facts of Life the Facts of Life.
YES, that's Blair!
And boy does she have a testimony.
I got to listen to Blair tell her story from the FRONT ROW!
You read right. Friday night, the Lord blessed my sister, I, and friend Tab with front row seats!
Steven Curtis Chapman
And YES, that is a front row picture of him singing his famous Cinderalla song.
The stories that were told, and the songs that were sung were so real. Not one speaker had it "all together" they were just like you and I, struggling through our everyday lives. With some days being happy, some days being sad, and some days just being. The theme for 2009 couldn't have been more fitting.
It's a GRAND NEW DAY!
The Lord's love never ends; his mercies never stop. They are new every morning . . .” Lamentations 3:22-23 NCV
Friends, if you are down and out. Remember that each day is a GRAND new day and it's only YOU that can make it GRAND!
