Rain, Rain go Away

Wish I would have gotten the memo that I needed to build an ARK! Holy Cow....did it ever rain last night! Kohyn says on her way out the door this morning, "MESS", yes Kohyn, the front yard is a "MESS", lots of water standing everywhere! I looked out at the garden and it was a "MESS" also. When will it stop????
We had the best family night last night. With all of the rain Cam's 7:30 ballgame got cancelled (wish I could say I was sad about it).
With the rain outside it forced us to stay in and spend some quality family time together (something as kids we would call QFT). We spent the evening destroying the front room with toys, babies, blankets, and whatever else Kohyn could haul out. Brandon and Cam burned the mid-night oil in a serious tournment of UNO. As I went to sleep I could still hear them in there.....and does anyone know if you can't play, do you draw 1 card or do you draw until you can play? Camrie had to come into the bedroom and wake me up to ask me......DO THEY NOT INCLUDE DIRECTIONS IN THE BOX??? Seriously, they sometimes act like brother and sister!
So even though the rain isn't needed it was nice to spend the night in the house playing together!

Have you ever heard a 1 year old say the word...Batteries! Will leave it to Kohyn Dovie to be the one. PaPa Jerry and Grandma Penny have a doll at there house and it stopped working, Kohyn looked up at PaPa and clear as a bell says, Batteries. The kid never stops amazing me.
Her vocabulary has really expanded over the last few weeks, and it's so fun to listen to what she has to say. Yesterday we were leaving the house and she says, "Bye, Bye Amish". The neighbors across the street are getting their house reroofed and the Amish are doing the work. I just laughed and shook my head.

Can you believe it's already Wednesday!!! And I haven't even shared the BEST news of the year. My job (the BEST job ever, read the previous post) has a summer furlough program that you can apply for during the months of June, July and August. You can take one day a week off for either one month or all 3 months. Mine got accepted for Mondays during the month of July. So for the next 5 weeks I only have to work 4 days....isn't that AWESOME!!! Can't wait to hang out with the girls, go on walks, pick veggies out of the garden, go swimming, play, play and play!
