I made it through another Birthday....it's offical I'm now 32! Thanks to my family and friends for making sure I had a GREAT day. The husband of the year even pulled through....all I wanted was some shelves to be built in the girls room (didn't ask for much did I) and yesterday when I got home he was busy being Mr. Handyman! The closest looks awesome and baby Wood will now have it's own space for it's clothes - good job Daddy!
I have to share what fun we had Sunday night at my in-laws. Since most of you haven't been exposed to the "Wood Fam" bear with me, what I'm about to tell you is TRUE and may be a better reflection of why my husband sometimes does the CRAZY things he does, what's that saying, "The apple didn't fall from the tree?"
Sunday night dinner at Penny and Jerry's (Brandon's mom and dad's, happens every Sunday night...gotta love it) Anyway, we arrive to a note on the door that says "Happy Birthday "STAR" for the Day", once inside their was another BIG banner, the lights were off and streamers hanging from the lights....We were at the movies!!!!! Penny had made my requested meal, A Shrimp Boil (something you've got to see to believe)..shrimp, corn on the cob, pototoes, sausage, ALL cooked together and dumped in the middle of the kitchen table...it's crazy, we all just sit around and eat and eat and eat and eat, it's so much FUN! Before eating I should tell you that you had to find your place to sit by your movie name.... I can't remember them all (should have wrote them down), I was Carol, from the Brady Bunch, NO WE AREN"T HAVING 6 KIDS, Cam was Elizabeth from Old Yeller, Penny was Dolly Parton (working 9-5), and crap I can't remember the rest, but they were creative and cute. So during dinner we played several Movie games, 1. What's your favorite movie 2. Sing your favorite song from a movie (which turned into singing sitcome songs)
3. What's your favorite saying from a movie.....OK, I think you get the picture!
It was entertaining and FUN to say the least!
It made me think of whatever happened to the good old days of just shutting off the TV and entertaining on another (like we did), I truly believe it needs to happen more in America....laughing out loud as a family is so healthy!!!!
I could go on about the rest of the night (yes, their's more) but I will save it for another post, this one is getting long! Thanks Penny and Afton for making sure my Birthday wasn't boring :)
Sounds like great family fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Libby!
